A few exciting items of business today!
First off: my new album Moon Jellies Fly First Class is out around the web. Read about it here on this site, listen to and/or purchase it on Bandcamp, or alternatively listen on SoundCloud or Spotify. I am especially proud of this new music and can safely claim it as my finest work yet.
Second: All this music was actually written for VGMusic's Sample Pack Contest XI, which ran from January-May 2020 hosted by zenkusa. I am pleased to report that I narrowly eked out a win for the contest! "California Rose Gold Rush" took 1st place by less than half a point. It was a pleasure writing all this music, hearing what all the other brilliant minds came up with, and being a part of the community around it. I wholeheartedly recommend checking out the whole album, not just my contributions.
And last but not least, Sample Pack Contest XII is now underway - if you want to be a part of the fun, visit my page for it here. All are welcome! Sample submission closes May 25, and the tentative end-date for track submission will be in mid-August.

Sample Pack Contest X has concluded and seen the light of day; check out all the Christmas and winter-themed tunes over on Bandcamp. I made 7 tracks for this one! The highest-placing was a four-way collab that took 9th.
Given that I've made so much music for SPC in the latter half of 2019, I actually put together a compilation album for easy access, plus a bonus track: me playing a solo piano cover of someone else's entry that I loved in SPCIX.
There are a few places you can listen to it all: first is Bandcamp, second is my own webpage for it, and third is on SoundCloud - however you choose to enjoy, I think there's some mighty fine music in there!

VGMusic's Sample Pack Contest IX was released today on Bandcamp! This time the contest was Halloween themed, and we ended up with a whopping 71 entries! Four of them are mine this time: Dawn Breaks on Magical Girl Dream Island (3rd place!), Infinite Loop (w/ Kevin Green as Stereolith, 8th place!), hippopotamus (w/ Shane Evans), and the extremely silly From Up on Dust Hill, a tribute to another participant's style.
A ton of awesome and diverse music was created for this contest and I encourage you to listen to it all on Bandcamp. In particular, the contest's winner Tony Thai made an incredible jazzy jam named "Ghost Town Funk" that you need to hear right this moment.
If you would rather listen on SoundCloud than Bandcamp, I have a playlist up here for all four entries I worked on. Direct download links will be coming once SPCX concludes shortly into 2020.

The VGMusic.com Sample Pack Contest VIII album is finally out! Participants made music exclusively using a "pack" of submitted samples, to some truly astounding results. I have a track on this album - track 30, N.F.B. - but you should absolutely 100% check out the whole album on Bandcamp because it is filled with so, so many incredible composers who took so many approaches to this format.
Download it here or feel free to also listen on SoundCloud if you prefer it to Bandcamp.

It's album release time! I have two new original solo albums to share: one is the retro-inspired JRPG soundtrack pastiche I set out to make, and it's called The Adventurer's Logbook. It's a full two discs' worth of material! The second album sprung forth from the same well of retro-inspired ideas but came about from wanting to explore writing longer tracks in a similar but more electronically-focused style; it's called Magical Realism. Both are released under my full name, not a pseudonym.
You can read all about The Adventurer's Logbook here or go ahead and find it on Bandcamp here! It is structured around 12 fantasy-themed areas to explore. What will you discover in this seasoned adventurer's journal?
Likewise, you can check my page about Magical Realism right here or visit the Bandcamp page for it right here.
These albums are the result of nine months of intense (but fun) work, and I'm beyond ecstatic to finally be able to share it all with you! It amounts to nearly three and a half hours of music! Please enjoy it.
And, incidentally, if you are a game developer or know one who's looking for a composer, please do let me know. If you have any comments and don't already have a way to contact me, feel free to send an email as well.

Multiple items of news today!
The second Stereolith album is much closer to being done, so you can expect it coming on the horizon. Kevin is doing some soundtrack work at the moment! But holy crap is it some good stuff - excited as ever for you all to hear it.
And now, the good news: I've started working on my solo album in earnest, and I'm sharing the work as I go along! It is a "Model Game Soundtrack" built largely upon retro video game sounds, and it's intended to soundtrack a game that happens to not exist (but might eventually!). The tracks are being shared on my fancy new SoundCloud page and will continue to be there exclusively for the time being (will make a section here eventually). There is a convenient little web player right here if you'd rather not stray away from the site:
Sorry, the web player's been removed because it's no longer relevant. You can still visit my SoundCloud via the link above though!

Another Stereolith-related announcement! Kevin and I are sharing two tracks from our forthcoming video game arrangement album, A Night at the Basement TV! You can find them on Bandcamp!
Each of these two tracks are fully solo endeavors - Kevin made a guitar-infused, blusey Bastion remix, while I built a jazz Animal Crossing: New Leaf medley with no less than ten themes! They exemplify well the style we've eked out for this album. Please enjoy!

"Now in Stereovision", the first Stereolith album, turns two years old today! You can check out all its gamey, electronic, jazzy goodness on Bandcamp or around the web on Spotify/iTunes/Amazon!
We are hard at work on a new, even jazzier album of video game medleys, tentatively titled "A Night at the Basement TV". I will be releasing a solo track from this forthcoming new hotness quite soon, so stay tuned!
